Ellen presented this challenge.  We were given a beautiful piece of fabric...

This 'fabric' must be 'an important part' of our quilt plus the guideline themes:

3rd Reveal - just a peek!!

Our 3rd Reveal took place this past Tuesday.  

Haven't had time to post but here's a peek at our designs.

Yellow with a touch of Purple

WOW! 

I am so impressed with the design ideas and techniques I see!

They are beautiful!  

This picture of the display doesn't show the intricate designs but I'll have close up shots next week!

We're on to our 4th Challenge....

Orange & Fire!!!

We were given a wonderful piece of Orange cloth by Ellen and told that we were to use it to create our challenge using Orange and Fire as a theme!!  

No other restrictions beyond keeping with the 15"x15" size...

Can't wait to see what this brings!

Guidelines for the CC#2 Challenge:

1)  Must use 7 Values of Green

2) Can add a 'small' amount of an additional color of your choice.

3)  Size - 6 - 15" x 15" quilts plus one 15" x 32" quilt.

All of these quilts are square - my camera work, not so much!  

I have already figured out how to make this better for the 3rd Challenge pictures!

2nd Challenge Reveal a HUGE success!

Ladies, last night was great fun as we had our 2nd challenge reveal.

Here's a peek at the CC's Challenge #2 - Green (close ups to follow)

Staying true to course many new concepts and techniques were explored and inspired fellow participants. Our next challenge was presented by Patty. The color? Yellow with just a touch of purple. Wide open to interpretation ladies. GO for it!!

Just a reminder: the hanging sleeve is to be 3/4 of an inch below the top edge of your art piece.

Marie’s offering to print our labels so if you’ll give her your quilt’s name and information before the next reveal she can get those to us. THANK YOU Marie!!

I found a great design tool the other day while visiting Webs a yarn super store in MA. It’s called, The Kangroo dyer’s Color Grid and there’s a review on Knitter’s Review.

First Challenge Reveal A Success!!

We had our first challenge reveal last night....

WOW! 

Guidelines for the CC#1 Challenge:

1)  Must Read "Cobalt Blue" from 10 feet.

2)  Size - 6 - 15" x 15" quilts plus one 15" x 32" quilt.

That's it.... And THIS is what was created!

We pulled numbers for order of reveal and here are close up pictures of the quilts in the order they were revealed:
